I’ve talked about this case here and here. Last Friday, the visiting judge dismissed the case without prejudice. Nothing earth shattering in his judgement entry since it coincides with what the Chief’s attorney put in his motion to dismiss and with what I expected to happen when I first wrote about this case. Now that this is settled, I expect a civil suit against the outgoing Sheriff, his Deputies, Champaign County and the Agriculture Society.
